JCB Initially wanted Jupiter to help them improve their application process with a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS). JCB had a legacy Taleo system that did not provide the functionality the organisation needed and had become obsolete.
We were given the opportunity to present NexGen to JCB and, after exploratory meetings, it became apparent that, more than ATS, JCB needed to overhaul their careers site in order to boost their employer brand and bring wholesale improvement to candidate experience.
JCB’s careers site had historically focused on their machinery. Though impressive(they are true pioneers in their field), we felt that images of JCB people doing their jobs would be more attractive from a recruitment perspective. After all, JCB is a family business, growing from just one man with one piece of equipment, to a globally recognised brand. As a human story, this really inspires. We interviewed and photographed JCB employees so that their careers site could tell similar stories about the inspirational work going on at JCB in the present day, and make them the focus of a new, improved candidate journey.
Having crafted a beautiful candidate journey, we continue to work closely with JCB to make sure the ATS and careers site continue to evolve with the company. We couldn’t be prouder of the results this project has delivered:
• 4,750 candidates successfully through the system in just four months
• 30% increase in visitors
• 40% increase in time spent on the careers website
• Record site visits with 40,000+ new users (between October 2018 and January 2019)
“Since we have gone live with the fresh new careers pages and NexGen, we have seen a distinct improvement in engagement from potential candidate, not only in the careers section but also within the ATS.”
